Our aim is to catalyse Australia’s transition to climate-resilient, reliable, affordable, and low-emissions water systems by uniting industry, government, and academia in world-leading research and training. We will develop innovative technologies, collaborative governance, and future-focused leaders to safeguard water security, support a Net-Zero future, and create sustainable economic and social benefits for communities.
Three interrelated research themes form the basis of our research program and are collectively critical to achieve Climate-Resilient Water.
Transforming our social and regulatory systems to enable adaptive climate-resilient water options to become mainstream.
Transforming large supply systems to be more reliable given far greater climatic extremes, at less energy cost.
Transform planning to create new localised resilient water supply, energy-positive precincts and systems at least cost and with greatest benefits.
The Centre will host a 1-day Showcase where all researchers will present their research, in oral or poster form. With senior leadership from Partner Organisations and potential end-users of Centre technology outputs invited to attend. We will also invite prominent international guest speakers from our extensive network.
