Innovative Policy and Regulation (Decision Authority)

Addresses the issue that industry and academics point to a lack of fit-for-purpose regulation and policy as a major barrier to introducing new circular and climate-resilient approaches to water management. Given that appropriate policy and regulation are such critical ingredients for the success of new water management options, it is vital to identify the type of regulatory and policy settings that can facilitate the shift to climate-resilient water.

Research questions

What type of water recycling regulation ensures safe use of this water source? What can we learn from the best resilient circular economy policy and regulation? What opportunities exist for inter-organisational policy planning integrating regional, and city planning to align policy and embed resiliency? What policy and regulatory opportunities support climate-resilient water?
